This Memorial Day weekend marked Daisy's six month birthday! We went over to Nathan and Kim's to BBQ, swim, and set off fireworks. It was a good day :) Daisy also had her first experience with a pool.....
The water was still cold since it hasn't been hot enough for a long period of time to make it warmer... no complaints from me, but by the look on her face I think Daisy would have liked the warmer water.
I think she was a little traumatized for a moment, but once she got out she enjoyed watching everyone else swim. Her face just makes me laugh. I know that she will eventually love the pool, when she is a little tougher.
Isn't her little swim suit so cute?
And here are the spectacular fireworks.... not so much. But it was still fun to watch them, I had forgotten how loud they are too.
Here are the men the lighters of the fireworks. Fireworks definitely are boy things.
Heidi and Laine enjoyed the fireworks too!
Just as a side note:
While I am doing this blog Aaron has been watching the Lifetime show "Coming Home". We have been watching because one, its very good and two we are going to enter that world. It is inspiring and sad to watch what these men do and what their families do to live without a father and husband. I am so thankful for the men and women who have served and died for my basic freedoms. I am truly proud that I am an American. I think to so many people being American is meaning less and less, but to me I know why this country is here and that thousands have died for me. I am proud that Aaron has decided to serve his country... even if it only part time : ) I am thankful for my freedom.
Happy Memorial Day!
Happy Memorial Day Lee. We are proud of Aaron too. Thanks for the cute update of Daisy. She has the best expressions.
