We went up to Strawberry for Labor Day weekend to enjoy Aaron's family reunion. His family has been doing this reunion for almost 60 years. That is very impressive. We had a great time. It was beautiful weekend. Rain came everyday just enough to cool off the day and give us shade. We also borrowed a friend's tent trailer, we will definitely get one someday, it made camping with kids much easier.
We stopped for Subway in Camp Verde. Daisy doesn't smile in pictures anymore.
They look so happy.
Since both Daisy and Rockwell were up with the first light of day, we started the day early, like 5:00 AM.
So we went for morning walks to feed horses, explore, and watch the sunrise.
It was a great weekend. I love Aaron's family. In high school I was always a little jealous of my friends who had big families they kept in touch with and had reunions. So when I met Aaron I liked that his family was close and valued those ties.
