19 Weeks

I think that now I am going on 23 weeks, but this is a picture of me at 19 weeks. I have been so unmotivated to take weekly or even monthly pictures of this pregnancy. Poor kid won't have a perfect chronological record of how big he made me look every week. Oh well : )
I am over the worst of the morning sickness! So glad about that! I still have my moments but overall I don't feel like loosing my most recent meal all the time. I am getting closer to the third trimester and then next thing I know it will be December.  But until then I am trying my best to handle this pregnancy with the best attitude I can muster. I have to admit that this time around I have been much more hormonal.

I think this picture describes my mental state as of late.

Firsts

So far this pregnancy I have only had one craving. Jambalaya... a little odd I know. Man that stuff is good especially from BJ's Brew house. But its kind of pricey so I thought to make my own. It actually tasted good! I also had to buy and cook shrimp. I have never done that before and it was gross. I also made fried chicken for the first time ever. Obviously its not too hard, but it was a first for me. I also made bread for the first time. I made whole wheat bread with a recipe I found on pinterest... where else. But I was proud of myself because it actually was good bread. I have always put off making bread because I know that sometimes when you first are starting out, you tend to make bread more the consistency of a brick than food. But it was good. I am not saying that brick like bread will never happen in my kitchen but it was nice to try something and have it work the first time.

I also am making something else for the first time... a boy! I think the picture below is proof enough that this kid is a boy.

We are excited and not to surprised. We both had the feeling that he was a boy from the start, now we know for sure. My due date is still the 20th of December. Now we just have to think of boy names, so far I feel that naming a boy is much harder to do.

Sassy

This little girl is sassy. I haven't been as good about writing down how awesome she is as often as I should. She really is fun, wild, but fun. She has a good personality, it can be a handful at times, but I love she has character. I wish I was a good writer so I could really paint a picture with words about who Daisy really is, but for now I will just do my best.

On this particular morning we were having a lazy start. We played and ate breakfast, watched a show or two, a normal morning. Anyway after a while Daisy asked me to put on her shoes so I did. Then a little while later she came with my shoes and put them on me. Then she pulled my hand so I would get up then had me follow her to the door, where she pushed against it and said "GO". Guess she was bored. She loves going out and about especially to play with cousins.

One thing that I have enjoyed about her getting a little bigger is she has started to snuggle with me. She never did that has a baby. She also loves this pink blanket, its a little weird though, she will take the corners of the blanket and  dab the corners of her eyes. I don't know why, but she does it all the time.

Lately when she wants something she says "more". Food, drinks, toys whatever its always " more". But just last week when she is eating and wants more instead of saying "more please" she says "more now". I have no idea where she learned that because we don't demand at this house. Its pretty funny.

She is also total girl. She loves putting on shoes and carrying purses around. She likes to have pretties (bows) in her hair. She also loves to play with my makeup brushes.

She can also throw an impressive tantrum. Sometimes if I don't stop her she will go on for an hour or more. She is very strong willed.

She can find all the body parts and even will point to my belly and say "baby". I know she doesn't get that there is an actually baby in there, but its still fun.

This may be kind of gross, but it makes Aaron and I laugh. When someone passes gas she will point their tush and say "poo poo" or go "whoa". When she passes gas she just giggles.

She likes nursery and we have never really had a problem with her not wanting to go... yet.

She still has a binky, its more for me though than for her. She is such a good sleeper and that is when she likes it, I don't want to give up anyones sleep just to take it away... not yet anyway.

I am afraid that the nickname Crazy Daisy will be something that always suits her. She is so full of energy and is constantly running and screaming. She also throws everything. I have tired everything I can think of to get her to stop, so far no luck. So if you are ever around Daisy be aware of flying objects usually near your face.

Just a few things...

Happy Birthday Aaron! Yesterday was Aaron's 26th birthday. We didn't do much, but we did have a small little party just Daisy, Me, and Aaron. I even sang happy birthday : )

Here I am 15 weeks pregnant. I have officially popped out.

And here is Laine and Daisy. Daisy chases Laine around yelling "Neenee", its very cute.

Preggers

This pregnancy has been different than Daisy's. You might be thinking well duh, Lee. I know that every pregnancy is different. I guess what I am trying to say is that this time around has been harder. And once again you might be saying well duh, especially Mom's with more than one kid. I feel like my body got pregnant faster, my butt got bigger, my memory is pitiful, icky sickness, very little motivation, and I am a wee bid moody. And when I say a wee bit, I mean... oh my poor family. I have felt kind of like a moody teenager. Without fail I cry at every Olympic commercial on TV. Luckily though I have been feeling less sick with each passing week and that makes me think more clearly about why I am moody and I am more able to by like "okay I can do it". I am also thankful for Aaron. He has been patient and understanding. Even Daisy at times has come and cuddled with me when I have been lying down. I think on some level she knows that Mom is a little different. I am really hoping that the next trimester brings with it energy and less sickness. It did with Daisy's and so far this pregnancy and Daisy's have held the same timelines. I have a feeling its a boy, but you never know, just a feeling. I have felt a little squiggle too. I know that they say that you won't feel anything until you are at least 14-16 weeks or even longer, but I know what I felt. I had the same feeling I did the first time I felt Daisy move. I have a little tummy now, my belly button even looks different. I love that my family is growing and that Daisy will have a sibling to play with. I am just now letting myself get excited about having a little baby again. Makes me so happy to know I get to hold a newborn again.

At two months... in my skinny mirror :)

Toddler...

I feel confident in saying that we now officially have a toddler. Farewell to our little baby, she is on her way to becoming a little girl. Makes me sad to know that Daisy's "baby baby" stage is in the past. But I do love (and strongly dislike) the fun new things that my little toddler does. I say strongly dislike in a loving way, but learning how to care for a toddler has been much more difficult for me than the baby phase. I get it now when they say it only gets harder. I also have been dealing with the highs and low of pregnancy and that does not help. With that aside though, I do love how fun Daisy is! I can't get over how cute she is and how much I love her! She can copy tons of my words, find body parts, loves books & shoes, Mickey Mouse Club house, loves her Dad, and takes good care of her baby doll. She is 18 months old now and had her last shots until she is four, yay! She is in the 25% for weight and 50% for height. She burns tons of calories. The only time she stops moving is to sleep. She has become more of a cuddler in the past few months, but it only last a few minutes at a time. She is a busy bee and is always doing something.

Proof that she is a toddler:
I have found scribbles on my walls and furniture.
She can bring me her own diaper.
She loves to throw away trash.
Tantrums.
She doesn't want to eat in her high chair anymore.
She is in a big girl car seat.
I find random objects in unusual places.
She thinks everything is hers.

Cheerio anyone?

She spends more time in there than her doll.

At the splash pad.

Why do kids always put underwear on their head?

Just cute.

Tuckered Out....

I have been so tuckered out lately. Tired, exhausted, pooped, you name it. But there is a good reason why... I am pregnant with our second baby. We are pretty happy about it. So far everything looks good and I am two months along. We wanted to try and wait another month to tell, but I am horrible about keeping my pregnancies quiet when its all I can think about. Plus I have been so tired and sick lately its kind of hard to keep saying I have the flu... again. Anyway this little girl or boy will be here in December if all goes well. A little Christmas baby. Daisy will be almost exactly two years older than this little one. Our original plan, well my original plan was to wait and try and make them three years apart, Aaron's was two years apart. However, a few months after Aaron got home I caught the baby fever and you know the rest.

So far this pregnancy has been very similar to Daisy's. Tired, nausea, acne, bloating... its a beautiful time. Luckily I have been blessed to have a very helpful husband, he even did the laundry for the first time since I can remember. He has been a sweet heart and very patient with my wimpiness. I haven't reached that point of morning sickness where you accept that it is just your life now. I am still annoyed that I feel like wretching every few minutes. We are definitely looking forward to the second trimester around this house.

I knew I was pregnant right from the beginning. I took the test and was like, yep that's right. So for the first month of this pregnancy I cleaned. I cleaned the carpets, the couch, and redid the caulking in our bathroom. I knew that I wasn't going to be very productive for a few months, so I did as much as possible. I have also made a goal to be a better pregnant lady this time around. When I was pregnant with Daisy, that was what I did. I was pregnant. This time however I want to try and have life be as normal as possible. Work on food storage, exercise, get dressed everyday, make sure Daisy is well taken care of and whatever else I can think of that makes life around here normal. I am sure if Aaron reads this he is laughing because I have not been normal for a few weeks. It has been a rare night when I was cooking in the kitchen. When I first made those goals I did not remember how sick and tired I can get especially the first few months when my body is working double hard to get another life going. So I can't promise much for the next few weeks, but when some of my energy returns I am going to do my best to be a good wife and mother, not just a pregnant lady.

On to other news unrelated to our newest addition. Aaron got a new job. He will now be working at a privately owned shop called Auto Tech One. We have been so done with Goodyear for a while now and Aaron has been on the job hunt since he got home. We are glad to have change. For the first time since we were married he will have weekends free. This place is also only a ten minute drive from our house. Compare that to Goodyear where Aaron was driving 30 plus miles a day. Yay for less money on gas! Hopefully this will be a good job to get us through the rest of Aaron's education. He has worked so hard with really no break since we were married. He deserves his Saturdays.

Daisy has been sick. Not just a little cold, but almost every bug that has been floating around. So far this year she has had strep throat, a crazy rash, the flu, and a viral infection that gave her a high fever for four days. She has been a trooper through it all, but we are all ready for a summer of health. I was thinking the other day though about all her sicknesses and their timing. She wasn't sick once while Aaron was away. I never had to take her to urgent care or the doctor while he was gone. I know that was a small blessing. It would have been hard to deal with any bug by myself. I have been so thankful and appreciative of Aaron's help especially since the last two bugs have been right at the start of my morning sickness. Other than being sick Daisy is growing like a week. She is still tiny and lost a pound or two with the flu, but she seems so long to me. She has also begun to  meow whenever she sees a cat or a dog. It is so cute. She also takes the corner of her blanket and touched it to the inner corner of her eyes. It looks like she is dabbing away tears, but I have no idea why she does it. She is also perfecting her tantrums, so that is fun. She loves to play with her dad.

Well, that is our news.
