I love summer. Summer is the time to go outside, yet I live in the valley so if I go outside, I will die of heat stoke. So we have been spending as much time up in Pinetop as possible. A few weeks ago Daisy and I went up to Pinetop for a day or two to help with my high school volleyball coach's annual summer camp. It was fun to go and help girls who are in the thick of their volleyball careers. And thanks again mom for watching Daisy! I had fun and now I am thinking that maybe I will look into trying to coach for a club. Volleyball is one of the only things that I feel very competent in and I would love to help other people who love volleyball get better at it. But I don't know if right now is the right time because Aaron will be gone for so long and I don't want to ship Daisy out three nights a week and for weekend tournaments. So for now it is just an idea.
I have also been playing church ball for the past few months and last night was our final tournament. We went the whole season undefeated and won the tournament. I had a lot of fun and will do it again. I love being around others who love volleyball too. I am glad that I get to play volleyball even if it a bit slower than what I used to play : )
Aaron and I will find out this weekend when he will leave for boot camp and technical training. He will most likely leave sometime in August. I can't believe that the time for him to leave is almost here. It makes me sad, but I am ready for this all to happen because the sooner he leaves the sooner he gets to come home. Aaron is anxious to go and is also ready to get going. I think one of the things that makes me the saddest about not having Aaron around for a few months is how much he's going to miss of Daisy's little life. Luckily she is so little so she won't remember Aaron's absence, but I will. I will have to be much more diligent in documenting her milestones.
