My shelf

This shelf was my first attempt at building something. I think it turned out okay. If you are ever at my house though, don't look to closely, its got its fair share of wood filler : ). I got the idea and the instructions for the shelf from my sister Jill. About a year ago she made a few of these and I loved it. So I thought I will make one too. I already had the tools and paint so all I needed was the wood. I went to Home Depot and they cut the wood for me. Which was so convenient because I only have a miter box with a little saw. No electric saws here. I did have to cut all the moulding myself though. I am proud to say that I didn't have to make more that one cut. I really didn't want to ruin it and have to go back to the store. I enjoyed building things. I got a lot of satisfaction out of redoing my kitchen cabinets. I want to make another one, now that I have a better idea how to do it.
