Fourth of July 2011

For the third year Aaron and went up to Pinetop for the fourth of July. I love going up there for the 4th. I get a stronger feeling of patriotism in a small community and love to see and feel patriotism. Anyway Aaron and I went up to Pinetop the Wednesday before the fourth for a mini vacation and to escape the 118 degree weather. When we got there it was just us and my Dad since my mom had flown back to Arkansas to drive back with Jill and her kids who wouldn't arrive till Friday when everyone else was coming up. We just relaxed, did a puzzle, watched movies, and made a trip to Wal-mart. Aaron always has to point out how weird small town Wal-mart people are, but I am of the opinion that no matter what Wal-mart you go to its a magnet for the strange and toothless. After everyone arrived on Friday Aaron and I went and saw Transformers 3. Aaron really liked it, it was a boy movie for sure. I thought it was entertaining enough. Aaron didn't get to stay till the fourth because he had to work, but the fireworks were cancelled due to the dry conditions so he only missed the parade. It also rained while we were up there. I love the rain in the white mountains! It was probably one of my favorite things about he whole weekend.

Its raining in the back round...

I love to watch my nieces and nephews play. This is Parker, Abbey, Paisley, and Laine.
This was Saturday afternoon. All the boys went fishing up at Hawley Lake.

Uncle Jeremiah made bottle rockets, it was a hit.

We all went on a walk around Woodland Lake at sunset. This picture doesn't to it justice, it was the most beautiful evening.

Walking...

We look so pretty...

Daisy's first 4th of July.

At the parade.

Sasquatch haha.

Seven Months

Daisy turned 7 months old on June 28th.
She has really started to let more of who she is shine through.
Just recently she has started to cry when I walk away from her, which is sweet and a nuisance.
She can sit up for as long as 10 seconds.
She has two teeth.
Pulls off pigtails.
She wants to crawl so badly and get frustrated when she is stuck in one spot.
She is a pro roller now and can move to almost where ever she wants.
She can hold her own bottle, which is great.
She loves to see new things and never blinks, just drinking in her world.
She smiles and gets super excited when Aaron comes home from work.
When she gets excited she kicks her whole body and arms in all directions.
Her favorite phrase to babble is "ba ba ba ba".
She pukes on everything and everyone.
She eats solid food now and has the poop to prove it.
She is very expressive with her eyes.
And she is still sleeping well at night and nap times.

We love this little girl. I am so glad that I get to be her mom!

Our Happenings of Late...

I love summer. Summer is the time to go outside, yet I live in the valley so if I go outside, I will die of heat stoke. So we have been spending as much time up in Pinetop as possible. A few weeks ago Daisy and I went up to Pinetop for a day or two to help with my high school volleyball coach's annual summer camp. It was fun to go and help girls who are in the thick of their volleyball careers. And thanks again mom for watching Daisy! I had fun and now I am thinking that maybe I will look into trying to coach for a club. Volleyball is one of the only things that I feel very competent in and I would love to help other people who love volleyball get better at it. But I don't know if right now is the right time because Aaron will be gone for so long and I don't want to ship Daisy out three nights a week and for weekend tournaments. So for now it is just an idea.

I have also been playing church ball for the past few months and last night was our final tournament. We went the whole season undefeated and won the tournament. I had a lot of fun and will do it again. I love being around others who love volleyball too. I am glad that I get to play volleyball even if it a bit slower than what I used to play : )

Aaron and I will find out this weekend when he will leave for boot camp and technical training. He will most likely leave sometime in August. I can't believe that the time for him to leave is almost here. It makes me sad, but I am ready for this all to happen because the sooner he leaves the sooner he gets to come home. Aaron is anxious to go and is also ready to get going. I think one of the things that makes me the saddest about not having  Aaron around for a few months is how much he's going to miss of Daisy's little life. Luckily she is so little so she won't remember Aaron's absence, but I will. I will have to be much more diligent in documenting her milestones.
