19 Weeks

I think that now I am going on 23 weeks, but this is a picture of me at 19 weeks. I have been so unmotivated to take weekly or even monthly pictures of this pregnancy. Poor kid won't have a perfect chronological record of how big he made me look every week. Oh well : )
I am over the worst of the morning sickness! So glad about that! I still have my moments but overall I don't feel like loosing my most recent meal all the time. I am getting closer to the third trimester and then next thing I know it will be December.  But until then I am trying my best to handle this pregnancy with the best attitude I can muster. I have to admit that this time around I have been much more hormonal.

I think this picture describes my mental state as of late.

Firsts

So far this pregnancy I have only had one craving. Jambalaya... a little odd I know. Man that stuff is good especially from BJ's Brew house. But its kind of pricey so I thought to make my own. It actually tasted good! I also had to buy and cook shrimp. I have never done that before and it was gross. I also made fried chicken for the first time ever. Obviously its not too hard, but it was a first for me. I also made bread for the first time. I made whole wheat bread with a recipe I found on pinterest... where else. But I was proud of myself because it actually was good bread. I have always put off making bread because I know that sometimes when you first are starting out, you tend to make bread more the consistency of a brick than food. But it was good. I am not saying that brick like bread will never happen in my kitchen but it was nice to try something and have it work the first time.

I also am making something else for the first time... a boy! I think the picture below is proof enough that this kid is a boy.

We are excited and not to surprised. We both had the feeling that he was a boy from the start, now we know for sure. My due date is still the 20th of December. Now we just have to think of boy names, so far I feel that naming a boy is much harder to do.

Sassy

This little girl is sassy. I haven't been as good about writing down how awesome she is as often as I should. She really is fun, wild, but fun. She has a good personality, it can be a handful at times, but I love she has character. I wish I was a good writer so I could really paint a picture with words about who Daisy really is, but for now I will just do my best.

On this particular morning we were having a lazy start. We played and ate breakfast, watched a show or two, a normal morning. Anyway after a while Daisy asked me to put on her shoes so I did. Then a little while later she came with my shoes and put them on me. Then she pulled my hand so I would get up then had me follow her to the door, where she pushed against it and said "GO". Guess she was bored. She loves going out and about especially to play with cousins.

One thing that I have enjoyed about her getting a little bigger is she has started to snuggle with me. She never did that has a baby. She also loves this pink blanket, its a little weird though, she will take the corners of the blanket and  dab the corners of her eyes. I don't know why, but she does it all the time.

Lately when she wants something she says "more". Food, drinks, toys whatever its always " more". But just last week when she is eating and wants more instead of saying "more please" she says "more now". I have no idea where she learned that because we don't demand at this house. Its pretty funny.

She is also total girl. She loves putting on shoes and carrying purses around. She likes to have pretties (bows) in her hair. She also loves to play with my makeup brushes.

She can also throw an impressive tantrum. Sometimes if I don't stop her she will go on for an hour or more. She is very strong willed.

She can find all the body parts and even will point to my belly and say "baby". I know she doesn't get that there is an actually baby in there, but its still fun.

This may be kind of gross, but it makes Aaron and I laugh. When someone passes gas she will point their tush and say "poo poo" or go "whoa". When she passes gas she just giggles.

She likes nursery and we have never really had a problem with her not wanting to go... yet.

She still has a binky, its more for me though than for her. She is such a good sleeper and that is when she likes it, I don't want to give up anyones sleep just to take it away... not yet anyway.

I am afraid that the nickname Crazy Daisy will be something that always suits her. She is so full of energy and is constantly running and screaming. She also throws everything. I have tired everything I can think of to get her to stop, so far no luck. So if you are ever around Daisy be aware of flying objects usually near your face.
