The Magic of Ordinary Days

We are most certainly very ordinary people, but it like it. I love my home (most days), I love Aaron and our kids. We are very blessed.
I love this picture. A summer evening, Popsicles, bubbles, and cousins. Doesn't get much better than that.

Kids are the best.

I have been working with Daisy on her room cleaning skills. I even took away all her toys for a rew weeks. She really didn't care, made me realize how little we actually need. This picture was her version of a clean room. Everything pushed to one side.

I like to watch tv in the evenings while I fold laundry. This cat knows it's the only time I will pet him. We have been watching Sherlock together.

This is my new favorite thing. Daisy's Mother's Day gift to me. It's kind of fun her getting older.

Ignore my ugly pantry and lack of food but my mom found these can dispensers for me at some yard sales. Makes me excited. The little things.

I am in the process of redoing my kitchen, well as much as I can anyway. I made new roman shades. They aren't quite done in the picture but I like them SO much better than the other one.

Daisy made a flower. She was pretty pleased with herself.

We have been getting a lot of frozen yogurt lately. I use the heat as my excuse. Daisy and I went on a little date. She liked it.

This kid will be 18 month this week. He probably weighs 20 or 21 pounds. Still in the 10-12 percentile. He doesn't know he is small though. He thinks he is pretty big stuff. He doesn't walk anywhere he only runs, and it's the cutest, most funny run. He kind of bounces while his legs kick out, all while he pushes his tummy out. He can say hot, nana, dada, mama, dayzee, nigh nigh, hey, hi, bye- bye, uh-oh, and no. I think there might be a few more but I can't recall at the moment. He folds his arms for prayers and blows kisses. He falls all the time but gets right up without any fuss. He loves to play in the water. The other day he found Daisy's special bear, the one that is always with her. I watched him pick it up, look at Daisy then run to the toilet. I got him right before he plopped it in. He totally did it on purpose! I don't know if it was retaliation or just to be a stinker. Either way I hope it's not a sign of more mischievous things to come. Like the picture above shows he likes everything to be in it places very cute. He is still a snugly boy. It's my favorite.

I have had a pretty bad sweet tooth lately. Last night I split these with Aaron whole watching Harry potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2.

See ordinary days can be pretty good.

Hot

Rocky's learned a new word this week, "hot". And yes it is now officially hot. We have been doing our best to stay cool though.

Pools.

Our tiny pool.

And I guess clothing has become optional ;)
