Mystery

A few days ago Rockwell got huge hives all over his arms and legs. They were bad. He didn't seem to notice so that was good. I still have no idea what caused them. Its a mystery. Hopefully they won't come back.

Sunday Best

I love how cute they both look. I love soaking up their cuteness!

New Year

On New Years day we were feeling adventurous and went on a hike. Someday are just good and that day was a good day. I love doing "wholesome recreational activities" with my little family. We didn't go on a very hard or long hike for obvious reasons, but they did pretty well. Daisy did well with assistance from Dad. On the way down to our car I had her though and she trip on a rock. I caught before she hit the ground, but in her meanest bossiest voice she gave that rock a good yelling. It was a beautiful morning a great way to start the year.

He was a good passenger.

I love her long little legs.

So thrilled to be photographed.

Rockwell was wanted to do some exploring on his own.

Good to have such a great Dad!

The world of little people...

Growing up my next sibling was 5 almost 6 years older than me. My days were with just my Mom. I remember going on field trips with Heidi's fourth grade class to metor crater and to the state capital with Tim when he was in the 8th grade. I think about my young childhood and try to compare it to my children's world now. They are so different. For me this is the first time I have ever been in a world that is completely determined by little people. I was the only little person growing up. I don't think I determined much of anything. I was the tag a long.

I am not really trying to make a point or share a deep thought just an observation about my world. I live in a little persons world totally for the first time. I got glimpses of it when I would be at friends houses growing who were  not the youngest and had siblings closer to their age. Bath times for everyone, filling glasses only up a fourth of the way, the Lion King on all day, and a house covered in multiple children's toys. I always thought it was strange and chaotic. I was used to basketball games in the evening and grocery shopping with my mom, not a little kids world. My mom might remember it differently.

Someday I will have big kids, then teenagers, then they will be gone. I guess that's how it works. I am enjoying my little peoples world. I hope it doesn't fly by in a blur of diapers and Disney movies.
