Random Tid Bits of Life Lately

So when I was home a few weeks ago. My mom gave some of my old volleyball and school stuff she had saved. I found this picture and it made me laugh. This is me and my friend Rachelle. I watch her kids. Her one her old is currently throw around all of my Tupperware lids as I write this. Just makes me laugh. Funny how life goes sometimes.
These two are so similar! This isn't the best side by side but I think it's obvious where Rockwell comes from.

Ryker is Rachelle's little boy, like I mentioned above. He had a scary few weeks when it was discovered he had hydrocephalus around his 9 month mark. He has since had two surgeries and is doing well. He is also playing catch up with some of his developement skills. Rocky is liking that his buddy is getting big enough to do more stuff. It's cute how Rockwell knows Ryker is for him.

We were playing don't let the roller fall off your head. He's adorable.

Although here he seems rather annoyed to be awake. I can't not chuckle when I see this.

These two actually play pretty well together. They fight of course but I think they really do like each other's company.

We have quiet time everyday. This was quiet time at grandma Rena's house. I like this picture. She is so relaxed.

Daisy loves her Dad. This day they were looking at pictures.

So the first day of preschool Rockwell and I headed over to the gym. Since preschool is 2 hours I figure the best way to use that time is at the gym. However I don't usually stay that long so when I did this day, Rockwell was the only kid left in the daycare and was so sad about it. They gave him a blankie and turned on a show. I felt bad. The only time he cries in situations like this is when he is the last kid getting picked up. For example the only time he has cried at nursery in church is when I am the last one to pick up her kid.

One night I told Daisy to go get her pjs on. She got dressed in the kitchen and when she was done I found her undies like this. Sending me a message maybe.

I don't often get to see old friends, but a few weekends ago I got to spend the evening with these ladies! It was a good night. It's fun to remember stories and the person I was when they were such a big part of my life. They are both doing well and I was glad to see them. And just a side note this was my first major league game.

About a week ago I was doing laundry. When I heard the washer stop I went into the laundry room to switch loads. It's smelled funny so I made Aaron come and check it out. And what he found was kind of scary. One of our outlets malfunctioned and melted the cord to the washer. I am so thankful it wasn't worse. I am also thankful Aaron is so handy. He replaced both the cord and outlet and now all is well. It impresses me so that he can do those things. I married a real man;).

And I found this picture a while ago. Aaron and I were dating and we were at my nieces Paisly's baby blessing. This was almost 6 years ago.

Adios bipolar kitty cat....

We finally ditched Finch. He wasn't a good cat. He only liked me but in recent months he hadn't been able to tell friend from foe. In other words he was scary attacking us. I like having a pet around. And Finch was sweet to me on occasion. He would sleep with me every night. However he finally got weird enough that even I couldn't justify keeping him around. I always thought he would be that weird cat that just kept living and living for years. My final straw was when we got home from vacation and he was so sweet and let us all pet him, then some how he scratched my face and stomach with his back claws within like two minutes of being home.

He was our first pet and here before kids. I hope he had a good life here because we are pretty sure he wouldn't be coming out of the shelter we brought him to, if you know what I mean...

So goodbye Finch!

Preschool

This year Daisy is old enough to start preschool. She was so ready and so excited! The morning of preschool she even let me curl her whole head. She has never sat still long enough for me to do that. I could tell she was very pleased with herself. She had a new outfit, freshly painted nails, and her hair all done. So we went outside to the side of the house to take some pictures.
Isn't she the cutest preschooler! She felt like a big kid I could tell. We had a lot of fun taking pictures. However on the last picture she started screaming...

She was standing right on top of a red any hill! And don't worry I took this picture the second it happend, I wasn't letting her get eaten by ants. I felt so bad! She was having the bests morning then she got attacked. She only got three or four bites and quickly bounced back ready for school.

All day I felt horrible about the ant incident because she was having the best day, a special day just for her. But I realized yesterday that I was sad about more than just the ants. When we walked outside to take the picture she looked like a big kid. Older in more ways than just her appearance. She will be four  inNovember.  She is still little but, she is just growing up fast.

Summer Visits

Aaron's oldest brother's family lives in South Carolina. So sadly we don't get to see them or their kids that often. This year though they made the drive all the way across the country back to AZ. We have been lucky this summer to have been able to spend so much time with cousins. I love it and so do my kids. I really do have a lot a great nieces and nephews. While Brandon and Brooke were here we spent a lot of time over at grandma's house just playing.

Kamden and Rockwell. Rocky was lucky all his older girl cousins like to okay with the baby.

Rocky and Grant are a year a part. They are the littlest boys.

Eating ice cream.

Rocky has figured out how to climb all the way to the top of the playground. It stresses me out a little bit. He is so small to be climbing so high by himself.

Very determined to get to the top.

These pictures make me laugh.

Rocky and Boston playing.

Benton, Hannah, and Grant.

Fun was had by all this trip. We were sad to see them go home!

The Northeast

Aaron has done his fair share of traveling this summer. In June he went to Pennsylvania for a week with his job and then went to Maine for two weeks starting on the 6th of July. He was there working on a boys'scout camp because apparently the National Guard does stuff like that. Anyway most of his time there was spent hanging dry wall but he did get to visit New York City and Boston one of the weekends he was there. He sent me some pretty cool pictures.
Camp.

New York.
French toast. ;)
Central Park.
Empire State Building.

9/11 Memorial.

The Statue of Liberty...way off.

Iron sides. I had never heard the story of this ship. If you ever want to know just ask him, he will tell you all about it.
I think Aaron liked Boston the best. American history is always fun.

Paul Revere's.
Building stuff.
Impressive farmers tan.
And Maine lobster.

We were apart for three weeks. Since we've been together we have experienced distance from time to time. This time seem longer than usual though. We were all glad to have our Dad come home.
