A Dollop of Daisy...

Daisy will be three months old on the 28th. So far in her life she has had two colds, stained almost all her onsies, has moved into her own room, has started to hold objects, talks all day, kicks and kicks, gets excited when she knows her evening bath is coming, rubs her eyes when she's sleepy, sleeps well at night (most of the time), and has almost rolled over.  It may seem like a simple life but she enjoys it : )

I have been making headbands and bows for her lately and this one is one of my favorites.

She is just so cute!

Another headband...

We were watching Secretariat.... don't know what she thought of it by the look on her face, but I liked it.

Funny face...

I think Finch is trying pretty hard to be the baby too.

If you look closely you can see her hold the toy, she did it all by her self : )

A few weeks ago I looked at Daisy and saw that she wasn't my newborn anymore. She was my baby. She has grown so much these past few weeks and has really started to become more interactive. It makes me sad to know she is growing, but it also makes me excited to watch her grow and learn. Along with the realization that she was no longer a newborn, I decided to work on getting her on a schedule.
Wake up.
Eat.
Play.
Eat.
Morning Nap.
Wake up.
Play.
Eat.
Afternoon Nap.
Eat.
Play.
Wiggle.
Eat.
Evening Fussy Time.
Bath.

Bed.
So far we have been doing really well with the morning nap and going to bed at night. The afternoon nap is another story. This past week I have really been diligent with making sure she has stayed in her crib for at least 2 hours. She needs 12-15 hours of sleep a day. But she has been very stubborn. It took a few days before she would only cry for a minute or two before she conked out. Now everyday doesn't go accordingly perfectly to the schedule, but we are still working on it. And to be honest I like getting a nap too ; )

  2. What is it with the afternoon nap? I'm having the same frustration with my little guy. Daisy is getting so big! Such a cutie. Good luck to Aaron! Hope it all works out well for you guys!
