On Friday...

Friday sounds pretty good in Daisy's little world, for example...

"On Friday we are going to make cupcakes."
"On Friday we are going to go swimming"
"On Friday we are going to have a sleepover at Grandma's."
"On Friday I am going over to Allie's house."

Once I said we were going to do something fun on Friday and since then everything happens of Friday.

Daisy also wears two or three pannies everyday. I try to get her to wear just one, but she likes them too much to just wear one.

She doesn't like to swim but loves to play with water.

She loves to wake up Rockwell in the mornings. And be the first to tell me that he is stinky and that he is throwing food on the floor again.

She loves to sing and knows all the words to "I am a Child of God", "The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock," and "I Love to See the Temple".

The other day she was yelling for me to come help her wipe her buns after she pooped. When I got into the bathroom I said "Wow! Daisy that's a big poo!" To which she replied with a pleased smile, "I made it myself!" Made me laugh.

She is starting to like puzzles and is actually pretty good at them.

She can sit and watch shows now for longer than 30 seconds.

Like every little girls she loves to play Frozen with her friends. The other day I was folding laundry when Daisy and Allie ran by reenacting the last seen in Frozen. Daisy was Elsa and Allie was Anna. Daisy was pulling Allie as if they were ice skating when Daisy stopped and magically made skates for Allie to which Allie yelled "OH Elsa! They are beautiful!" It was so funny to me!

Daisy is currently operating on only about 10% of her toy supply. And by that I mean I have taken away pretty much all her toys. I was so tired I her dirty room and her refusal to clean it. So I took all the toys that were on the floor. Its been a week and she has only cared once. I may just take all the toys away. Makes me realize kids don't need a lot.

She is still has her stubborn day, but more and more she and I can reason our way through her problems. It is nice! Only when she is tired there is no reasoning with her. A few weeks ago she got so upset over me not getting her juice she threw a tantrum that escalated to her being sent to her room. That is not unusual though, the crazy part is that fact that she got so upset she made herself throw up her lunch. I know this because I watched as she put her fingers in the back of throat. That was pretty bad. Luckily that is not the norm.

She really has blossomed into a very sweet little girl who tells me that she loves me all day. She is very good at saying thank you. The other day I was having a pity party day. I was bad for myself. I was feeling like being a Mom is a thankless job and nobody cared about all that I do because it is the mundane. Right in the middle of my swirling poor me thoughts Daisy looked at me and said "Thanks for washing my princess pannies Mom." It made my day and gave me some perspective.

I know she fancies her self the little leader of pretty much everyone around her. This picture cracks me up. Her face! Allie and Kailynn are good little friends.

Sometimes I put one kid down early so I can have a half hour in the evening with one of them just one one one. This night Daisy got to stay up with me. I asked her what she wanted to do and she wanted to take pictures of us making faces. She is a cute girl.

I took this picture yesterday just because she makes me laugh. I am so thankful for Daisy!

  1. Paisley also has a love of panties and changing them 3-4 times a day. I don't understand it. And that's funny, "I make it myself" comment. gross. :)
